This summer I spent some beautiful days in Spain.
There is something about the feeling of sand between my toes…
I have friends that are such animal lovers that they almost prefer animals to human relations. Normally I don’t consider myself to be one of those, I like animals, especially cats, but I can easily be afraid of big barking dogs. Today has been different, though. We are in the middle of winter, we have snow and it is cold, and as for most people, the majority of my days are spent indoors. Today I went to the zoo. And I met a lot of beautiful majestic animals and combined with a lot of fresh and cold air this day brought me a renewed joy for life.

The Goat Lina found a moment of freedom… and something that must have felt like heaven for her…
But, how long was Adam in Paradise? Well, I can’t answer that, but when Linas “Mom” found out, this was quickly resolved…
Well, I think Lina enjoyed her moment of freedom,,,, and now she can relive the meal and the moment in her mind…. And she is not hungry 😉
Snowflakes are at this very minute dancing through the air, and my springtime-feeling from yesterday, are replaced by yet another day of winter.
Well, it was fairly optimistic to hope for springtime weather in February, and I’ve decided to be grateful for the day we had yesterday, and try not to be too annoyed by the fact that I’ll soon be shuffling snow to get out my car…
I think these two talk about the snow as well:
Well, yesterday I wrote in the sand… Today I’ll write in snow!
If you are one of my regular readers you would know that we have almost been buried in snow until recently, so my question must seem strange…But it is the truth, today we have had sunny weather, and the sun stayed throughout the day! There were actually sun, not only a glimpse, but an almost spring-feeling came through the air and hit my heart.
So I did what I think everyone should do after not seeing such nice weather in months, I went for a walk on the beach.
I have a lot on my mind these days, and my walk on the beach was a silent walk, where even my thoughts got a well-deserved break.
There is something about the ocean.
There is something about just being.
There is something about life.
It’s wonderful, isn’t it?
Last night I met
a little girl
who should not
have been out
on her own
in our cruel world
A little girl
with eyes who had seen
too much for her age
Too much that had been
should go hungry
or be cold and alone
The cruelty of our world
took your innocence away
I would tell you stories
and give you a place to stay
But these are my worries
You’re already gone
Away from us
who left you alone
We failed to protect you
and now we only
see the sand
with your small footprints
before an angel
took your hand
and you were out of reach
for any hostile man
This night I saw
with sad eyes
our cruel world
and for a moment
she stayed and gave warmth
To a young girl
who needed a new home

This winter I’ve been so happy we had a green winter. For the first time in years, we were not buried in snow, and I have not been using half of my spare time to shuffle snow and the other half on getting my back to function again.
This winter has been great. I have not had any accidents with my car, and I’ve found my car every day. I must admit, I have heard some of my friends wishing for snow, talking about the great pleasure they find in skiing and how decorative the snow is… And I’ve quickly removed them from my contact-lists!
Well, this last week, someone has shown me that my former-friends have had better contacts with the weather-makers, because their wishes have been granted. And not only have we now snow, all the snow that were supposed to come bit by bit over the winter season, have now arrived. And continues to arrive, as we speak…
I want to scream and I can’t understand why people can’t learn: Careful What You Wish For!
Because when you wish for snow, you wish for days like these:
This is what we get:
And it’s a lot of hard work to find your car:
And I admit, snow can be decorative, especially in gardens:
Well, this is my garden today:
Yoy see the pawtracks from my cats, maybe they like to play in the snow?
Well, neither of them like this white stuff, anyway. You can see he screams “Let me in!”
So, this is todays message: Be Careful What You Wish For! Christmas is far far away even if it seems like we live in a Christmas Card right now.
This is an illusion:
