My heart bleeds for the young girl’s parents and family. After four horrible weeks of searching the police confirm that the woman’s body found last night in Kolbotn, Oslo is Sigrid Giskegjerde Schjetne. Her young life was brutally ended by one or several criminals, and this must be the hardest news any parents ever will receive. RIP dear Sigrid, you will be deeply missed.
I write this blog post as an update, since I’ve earlier written about the missing 16 year old, and also to express my deepest condolences to her family and friends.
I would also like to comment on the tremendous work that has been done by volunteers, friends and neighbours, and caring people from all over Oslo. The search of Sigrid has been organized from day 1 and you have continued your work, your support to the family and the hope to find Sigrid alive. I’m not in any position to say this, but I’ll say it anyway: Thank you!
