After much fanfare, interpretive dancing and musical numbers, the mysterious package was opened at 18:36 p.m. Norwegian time. The contents included documents and decorative banners. After 10 minutes of sorting through the parcel, officials took the contents backstage to organize the items. They have now concluded that the mystery package contents are mostly documents of historical interests, some newspapers and the decorative banners of his Majesty King Haakon VII.
I must admit, I’m a bit disappointed. I don’t understand the reason why this content of the package should be kept as a secret, but hey, the old Mayor Johan Nygaard had a possibility to be remembered for a 100 years 🙂
